Artist statement:

Did you know you could die from heartbreak? Did you know heartbreak has a professional term known as Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy which can lead to physical and psychological issues including cardiovascular disease and depression.

Heartbreak documents the stages that a person experiences from an autobiographical point of view following a break-up. These Five stages according to Kubler-Ross (1969) are: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance, all of which are depicted photographically through the exhibit.
